Who We Are

Our Purpose & Background

The DASH Foundation is a non-profit organization whose goal is to provide financial assistance to families in Baldwin County, Alabama, who are actively fighting cancer or battling life-altering chronic illnesses.

Our board of directors have worked together for countless years on Relay for Life events within Baldwin County. We formed a bond and a deep friendship. At the end of the 2020 Relay for Life season, after much conversation and many prayers, we decided to step out in faith and create this organization with the hopes of being able to help ease the financial burdens of local families who are battling medical emergencies.

“DASH” is derived from the initials of the 4 founding members. Webster offers a definition of dash as: “a small usually distinctive addition”.

That’s exactly what DASH hopes to accomplish. We want to be a small, yet distinctive addition to areas where help is needed.

At DASH Foundation of Baldwin County, we are dedicated to helping families that are dealing with cancer or another life-altering chronic illness. Our grants will be given out based on the needs of the family. This includes; power bills, groceries, medical bills, medical travel, etc.

We are Accepting Auctionable Items

With our organization’s mission always in mind, we strive to find new strategies for raising money for our cause. Our monthly auctions have been very successful and have played a huge role in getting our foundation off the ground. We are currently accepting auction items. If you would consider an item “bid worthy” then we would happily accept your donation! Auctions are held in our Facebook group during the first week of every month.
